How much are you earning from your app/business/website?

For a free app,the earning is generally based on the popularity of your app and your Ad Network. The number of active installs plays a major role in it.When I launched my first app ,I didn't know about the basics of AdMob . I earned around $1 in the first month from my first ad-based app. The app currently has around 500 downloads on Play Store and 250–300 active installs. I didn't take app development as my profession so the earning part didn't bother me much. However, I was disappointed with the less number of downloads. I went through various blogs , webpages to learn about the strategies of increasing the downloads but failed.
A month later I came up with a new application:
App : Cheatbook
Offered by : Mayank Develops
Active Installs : Around 1500
App age : 2 months
Daily Earnings : $0.20 to $0.40
So yes, I am happy with the earning part but the thing to note here is the uniqueness of your app. My first application was feed-based which provided Current Affairs and News and this was no new thing in the market . My app failed to compete with that of other leading developers . Also I did not get international downloads as the app was all about India . But Cheatbook acted as a game changer. Being a 17 years young kid :p , I have major interest in gaming. I didn't find a single cheat based app on Play Store which served its purpose. This chasm had to be filled and consequently resulted in Cheatbook - Android Apps on Google Play
What I want to tell here is that your app should meet the requirements of the audience. Don't copy a concept . Create something unique which distinctly stands out and serves the purpose. To earn more , target international audience and join various ad networks .

I earn about $4–4.5k (Rs 2.5–3 Lakh ) per month from my apps and a few extra bucks from designing.
My apps currently have over 2 Million combined active users, but mainly the top movers are:
The Meme Generator: Removed by Google play due to a misunderstanding but still has over 2 Million active users.
I republished it after changing it to Google standards and published it as https://play.google.com/store/ap... (NEW UPDATED LINK WITH NEW FEATURES AND 80% LESS ADS) which is getting downloads much faster than my former app.
The second app with good active users is Doppler Music Player which has about 1000 active users.
My other apps are quite young. Links to them are in my profile but I think the future big earners for me are the two apps I mentioned. Do check them out in your free time and let me know your reviews either on google play or here in comments, or in private messages.

For about 8 months, it was gaining about 3000 downloads a day. The ad revenue held up to about $40 a day. Which was awesome!
Until they implemented the new Opt In for Designed for Families. They automatically had me in the system. And had me confirm the opt in. When I saw that AdMob stopped serving ads, I went back and immediately reverted and opted OUT of the program. That effectively dropped my ranking right off the charts. Now that app us getting about 100 downloads a day, and my revenue has plummeted to $5 a day.
I write this story to warn developers to stay as far away from that program as possible. It destroyed my app revenue. And Google themselves has been completely unhelpful. They basically said, “Eh, an algorithm controls that stuff”. So they no have interest in taking responsibility.
It’s great how an algorithm can allow my app to plummet off the charts. But nothing can be done to recover standing.
The point is, be EXTREMELY careful with your listing on the store. Because of something goes wrong, no one is going to help you. You’re on your own.
